To the editor: It is always a pleasure to go by the Border Trust and Border Trust Business Center building, the first building on the left coming into Topsham from Brunswick after crossing the Frank Woods Bridge. The
architecture of the two connected buildings certainly has added favorably to the development of lower Main Street. I hope future business buildings that will be constructed in town will be equally pleasing to the eye. The
landscaping is attractive and kept beautifully, as is the lighting at night, which includes separate lighting on the flags, as flag etiquette calls for. The flags appear to be flown correctly at all times, all lowered when
it calls on Old Glory to remind us of certain holidays, and sadly enough, more frequently of late, to honor Maine's military who have unnecessarily paid with their supreme sacrifice. Unfortunately, the building manager's
example of displaying proper flag etiquette has not rubbed off sufficiently in the area to be copied. Kudos to all who had a hand in the development and have a hand in maintaining this gem of an addition to Topsham's
Main Street."
